Hahn & Associates is seeking exceptional candidates with software, electrical, biomedical, or mechanical engineering degrees. Those selected for hire will receive rigorous patent training and mentorship.
During the first six months of employment, hires will undergo a regular training schedule with a combination of in-house lectures and guidance. Hires are expected to acquire proficiency by daily application of technical knowledge and patent skills.
Patent attorneys are problem solvers. When writing a patent application, you will be required to study the technology and learn about the invention. During patent prosecution, hires are expected to know the client's business needs and creatively apply critical thinking skills to obtain allowances.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent legal residents. Individuals who have earned or will soon earn a mechanical engineering or related degree with an extremely strong academic record (top 25%) are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate enjoys drafting narrative and persuasive documents while critically analyzing and solving problems. Time management skills are also critical.
